Crowne Plaza hotel to open in Tampa, Florida

Holidaymakers will soon be offered a new accommodation option in Florida when the Crowne Plaza Tampa Westshore opens.
InterContinental Hotels Group announced that the establishment will open in early March following a multi-million dollar transformation of both the interior and exterior.
Located less than two miles from Tampa airport, the hotel overlooks the Westshore business district and is expected to be popular with corporate travellers.
Nearby attractions include the Busch Gardens amusement park, Adventure Island, the Raymond James stadium and the Port of Tampa at Channelside.
Gina LaBarre, vice-president of brand management for Crowne Plaza Hotels in the Americas, said: 'We're pleased to bring our second Crowne Plaza to the Tampa area, especially in such a convenient location for business travelers.
'There are several major employers in the area that will benefit from the meetings-savvy products and services that only a Crowne Plaza can provide.'
It was also announced recently that a new Crowne Plaza hotel has been opened at New Orleans airport following a $28m (£19.7m) renovation and conversion from a Holiday Inn Select property.
