Brussels could prove a popular city break destination among music fans in May when it hosts the Jazz Marathon.
The festival will come to a number of venues both outdoor and indoor across the Belgian capital from 29 to 31 May this year.
Some of the biggest gigs will be held in public areas in the city such as Sablon Square, Grand Place, Sint-Katelijne Square and Fernand Cocq Square.
Indoor venues that participated in the Jazz Marathon last year included the Music Village Jazz Club, El Metteko, Celtica, Le Grand Cafe and the Cartagena Salsa Bar.
As well as providing a representation for various forms of jazz from traditional right up to contemporary, the festival celebrates other genres including blues, rock, swing, funk and more.
One of the new additions to the festival this year will be the European Jazz at Brussels stage, which will present shows by artists from Italy, Spain, France, Holland and other countries.
