EasyJet to launch extra Gatwick flights

23 Apr 2009

EasyJet has announced that it will be boosting its presence at London Gatwick this year with a number of new flights.

The carrier will base a new plane at the airport - bringing its total fleet based at the hub to 39 aircraft - and launch new flights to a number of popular travel destinations.

People planning trips to southern France will be able to choose from 19 services to Toulouse and eight flights to Montpellier every week, an increase from the current 14 and seven connections respectively.

Bodrum will be served by four flights a week and Dalaman by seven, while the number of services to Mykonos will rise from three to four every seven days.

Split in Croatia will also become more accessible for people travelling from Gatwick when easyJet launches two additional weekly services, bringing the total frequency to 11 flights.

Gatwick will not be the only London airport to handle more easyJet flights this year - the carrier announced this week that it will also be launching new routes from Luton to Milan, Mahon and Montpellier.
