New luxury hotel opens in Costa Rica

The Central America Tourism Agency (Cata) has announced the opening of the first luxury hotel based on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.
Located in the tropical forest of Puerto Viejo, Le Cameleon resort provides accommodation in ten superior rooms, six deluxe rooms, six junior suites and a grand suite.
Facilities at the hotel include Le Numu restaurant, a massage deck, a pool and an airport shuttle service.
Guests can also head out onto the nearby beach to relax or try their hand at diving or surfing.
The resort is close to a number of popular attractions, including the Cahuita National Park, Gandoca Manzanillo wildlife refuge and the Kekoldi reserve.
Cata also announced that the Central American country of Guatemala has been chosen as the destination for a brand new luxury resort development, which is likely to be based in either Antigua or Peten.
The Central America region is home to a number of other destinations for travellers to explore, including Belize, Honduras and Panama.
