Travellers looking for an active holiday this year have been encouraged to pay a visit to the principality of Monaco to try some of the sports and leisure activities on offer.
Tennis fans can head to the Monte Carlo Country Club, a venue that was visited by Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal this year for the Monte Carlo Masters.
Monaco offers some stunning locations to enjoy a leisurely jog, with the 1.4km soft track above the Avenue Princesse Grace offering panoramic views across the coast.
Another option is the 2.5km health track located in an olive grove near Monaco's Exotic Garden, which comprises 20 fitness stations and is free to use.
Visitors who fancy spending some time on the fairway can head to the Monte Carlo Golf Club, which is located at an altitude of 810 metres up Mont Agel, while those visiting in the winter can stay in Monaco and visit a number of nearby mountain resorts to go skiing.
Sporting events taking place in the city-state over the coming months include the Formula One grand prix on 24 May, the beginning of the Tour de France on 2 July and the Uefa Supercup on 28 August.
