The Caribbean island of Montserrat will play host to its first ever diving festival this year.
Travellers will be catching flights to Montserrat from 27 June to 4 July to attend the festival, which is being arranged by the Green Monkey Dive Shop with support from the island's tourist board.
Divers will be able to attend a scheduled programme of events exploring various aspects of the popular pastime during the festival.
There will also be a series of activities for non-divers, including scenic boat tours offering views of the Soufriere Hills volcano and a trip to the Montserrat Volcano Observatory.
A special day of activities has been organised for 28 June which will teach children about different aspects of the marine environment, focusing on coral reefs, fish species and other topics.
Montserrat is located in the Caribbean's Leeward Islands, a group which also includes Antigua, Saint Kitts, Barbuda and other destinations.
