Malta offers 'incredible value for money'

Malta will offer 'incredible value for money' to its visitors this year, according to the Mediterranean island's tourist board.
The organisation said that British visitors will find that Malta is more affordable than a number of other popular holiday destinations, despite the fact that it is part of the eurozone.
According to the latest Holiday Costs study released by the Post Office, Malta is the third most affordable eurozone destination behind Spain and Portugal.
The research found that a basket of typical holiday items in Malta is 14.8% cheaper than in Cyprus and 1.5% more affordable than in Egypt.
Alex Incorvaja, UK director of the Malta Tourism Authority, said: 'Much attention has focused on non-eurozone destinations such as Egypt over the last few months but Malta still offers incredible value for money as a holiday destination, as the survey proves.
'Even with the current exchange rate, a cup of coffee on Malta will only set you back £0.96 whilst a bottle of beer averages £1.34.'
Flights to Malta are available with carriers including British Airways, Air Malta and Lufthansa.
