Warner Bros Movie World on Australia's Gold Coast is hosting a number of special events this week to mark its 18th birthday.
One of the highlights of the celebrations will be a visit of ten children from the Starlight Foundation, who will help to cut a birthday cake and meet their favourite movie characters.
Warner Bros Movie World opened in 1991 with the aim of bringing Hollywood to the eastern coast of Australia.
It was the first movie-themed amusement park in the southern hemisphere and over the years has been visited by stars including Steve Carrell, Anne Hathaway, Mel Gibson and Kurt Russell.
A number of other local attractions will be hosting special events this year to mark Queensland's 150th birthday celebrations, including Sea World and Wet 'n' Wild.
The month of June also marks the beginning of the humpback whale migration season in Queensland, giving tourists the opportunity to embark on tours to see the animals in the wild.
