Travellers will be catching flights to Darwin in Australia this year to visit the city's new AU$17m (£8.4m) wave lagoon.
The pool produces ten different wave patterns that create swells of up to 1.6 metres in height.
Part of a major redevelopment of Darwin's waterfront, the lagoon is open from 10:00 to 18:00 local time. The admission price of AU$8 for adults and AU$5 for children includes boogie boards and water tubes.
Details of the new attraction were included in the latest newsletter from the tourist board representing the Northern Territory, which also confirmed that a new indigenous tourism venture had been launched in Alice Springs.
The centre will provide support to operators and companies offering tours and other products in central Australia and the Northern Territory.
Travellers will be offered more access to the Northern Territory this month when Qantas launches additional flights to Darwin from Perth and Adelaide.
