The South Australia Tourism Commission will launch a new tourism promotion this month that will see 20 kangaroos set loose in London.
From 24 to 30 June, the life-size statues will be placed at a number of landmark sites throughout central London.
Each kangaroo has been given a unique design created by a mix of celebrities, students, artists and other figures helping to promote tourism in South Australia.
Members of the public will be invited to find the location of four of the statues to be in with a chance of winning a holiday for four to Kangaroo Island in South Australia.
The local tourist board said that the new promotion, which is being launched in collaboration with
Qantas, is designed to highlight Kangaroo Island as 'an essential component of any Australian holiday itinerary'.
Located 15km from mainland Australia, the island boasts several beaches and accommodation options including eco-lodges, private villas and wilderness retreats.
People interested in visiting South Australia can catch flights to Adelaide with
Qantas,
Singapore Airlines and other carriers.
