Eastern Airways to launch extra flights to Aberdeen
18 Jun 2009

People planning trips to Scotland this year will be able to choose from a wider range of flights to Aberdeen with Eastern Airways.

The regional carrier announced that, from 6 July, it will be offering five flights to Aberdeen from Southampton airport every weekday.

Currently, Eastern Airways operates three daily services on its Southampton to Aberdeen route.

Chris Holliday, the airline's chief operating officer, said: 'Our services between Southampton and Aberdeen have proved extremely popular and we're increasing the number of flights on the route to meet demand.

'With Aberdeen being one of Europe's busiest oil centres, there [have] been strong industry links in the energy sector between both regions for many years and our new schedules are tailored to suit business and leisure travellers' needs.'

The additional flights to Aberdeen will be introduced on the same day that Eastern Airways launches a new service from Southampton to Liverpool.

This route will be served by three return flights each weekday.
