EasyJet has announced that it will launch new flights to Copenhagen from Manchester airport in the autumn.
The airline will offer six weekly flights from Manchester to Copenhagen, meaning that its frequency of services from the Danish capital will be increased more than twofold.
Since last summer, easyJet has expanded its presence in Copenhagen by launching new flights to Milan and London Gatwick, which joined existing connections to Berlin and London Stansted.
In November, the airline will launch an additional daily flight to Berlin from the Scandinavian city.
Thomas Haagensen, easyJet's regional market manager, said: 'We believe that Manchester will be a successful route which will attract both business and leisure travellers.
'The percentage of business passengers in particular is generally showing a steady increase and this trend will
be supported by the new route.'
The airline also offers flights to Athens, Geneva, Cyprus and several other destinations from Manchester airport.
