Motorsport fans will have opportunities to catch up with the Formula One World Championship during holidays in Europe this summer.

Following races at the Nurburgring in Germany on 12 July and in Budapest, Hungary on 26 July, the 2009 race season will come to Valencia for the Grand Prix of Europe on 23 August.

The Valencia event will be the second Formula One grand prix to be held in Spain this year, following the fifth race of the season in Barcelona in May.

Belgium's Spa-Francorchamps circuit will be the location for the 12th Formula One World Championship race on 30 August before the drivers and teams head to Monza in Italy on 13 September.

Britain's Jenson Button currently leads the World Championship on 64 points after eight races, followed by his Brawn team-mate Rubens Barrichello and Renault driver Sebastian Vettel.

One of the highlights of the season this year will be the night-race in Singapore, which will be held on 27 September.
