13 Jul 2009
The company that runs the New York CityPass scheme has encouraged travellers to make use of its special offers this summer if they are planning an affordable break in the Big Apple.
CityPass offers discount tickets to some of New York's most popular attractions, with prices that are up to 44% lower than regular admission.
The promotion covers the city's most iconic tourist locations, including the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building Observatory, the Guggenheim Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Priced at $79 (£49) for adults, the CityPass booklet can be purchased at each attraction or at the official NYC & Company visitor centre on Seventh Avenue, north of Times Square.
There is also a new mobile application available this year that allows travellers to download CityPass information to their iPhone.
CityPass operates discount schemes in a number of other cities around Canada and the US, including Chicago, San Francisco, Boston and Toronto.
