New restaurant to open in Brisbane

The eagerly awaited Aria restaurant in Brisbane, Australia is set to begin welcoming guests this month.

According to Tourism Australia, there is a lot of buzz around the city about the opening of Aria, which is scheduled for 17 August.

The restaurant boasts a location that offers impressive views of Brisbane River and the Story Bridge.

Owned by Matt Moran, who has already enjoyed success with his Aria venture in Sydney, the new establishment will serve fresh Australian produce and offer signature dishes such as Peking duck consomme with duck dumplings, shaved abalone and mushrooms.

Visitors will also be able to sample a range of over 400 wines, including some local creations from the emerging Granite Belt wine-producing region of Queensland.

People with a passion for good food will also be catching flights to Sydney, Australia later this year for the city's International Food Festival, which will bring some of the world's best chefs to New South Wales in October.
