Legendary designers opening hotels in Dubai

Travellers who enjoy trips with a dash of glamour will have the opportunity to visit Dubai and stay in hotels bearing two of the most famous names in fashion this year.
The world's first Armani Hotel will boast a prestigious location on the first eight storeys and floors 38 and 39 of the Burj Dubai, the emirate's record-breaking skyscraper.
Guests will be accommodated in 160 rooms and luxury suites in the new hotel, which will also feature restaurants serving cuisine from all over the world, a nightclub, a spa and other facilities.
The Palazzo Versace Hotel is located on Dubai Creek and comprises 217 hotel suites and 169 private residences, landscaped gardens and Arabian architecture.
Also due to open in Dubai is a boutique hotel representing the Lebanese designer Elie Saab, which will be based at the Tiger Woods Dubai complex.
Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing spokesman Ian Scott said: 'With big name fashion brands such as Armani, Versace and Elie Saab all choosing Dubai for their stunning hotel designs, Dubai is set to become the ultimate destination to experience fantastic designer hotels.'
He added: 'These designer brands really highlight how Dubai is earning its reputation as home to international design excellence.'
Flights to Dubai are available with Emirates, British Airways, Qatar Airways and other airlines.
