The Singapore Tourism Board has announced details of new attractions at Resorts World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands that it claims are world firsts.
From early 2010, travellers will be able to visit new developments including a 'floating' Louis Vuitton store.
The crystal-shaped pavilion at Marina Bay Sands will be based on an island in front of a retail and entertainment complex, which will also feature a five-star hotel, a casino, restaurants and hundreds of luxury stores.
Another highlight is the world's only theme park attraction based on the animated movie Madagascar, which will be part of Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa.
Tourists will be able to go on an indoor boat ride featuring animated figures and special effects inspired by the hit children's film.
Universal Studios will also be home to the world's first Far Far Away Castle, as seen in the Shrek movies.
Singapore Tourism Board spokesman Jason Ong said: 'With the wide range of new product offerings
[at] Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa, we will firmly establish Singapore as one of the world's top travel destinations.'
