London warms up for Christmas Pudding Race

People who enjoy attending unusual events might be interested in taking a trip to London next month to experience one of its festive traditions.
Covent Garden Market will provide the venue for the 29th annual charity Christmas Pudding Race on 5 December.
The event will begin at 11:00, with street entertainers and performers out in force in Covent Garden to amuse the gathering crowds.
Around 150 people will take part in the race itself, donning a variety of weird and wonderful fancy dress costumes before attempting to run around a course while balancing a Christmas pudding on a spoon.
Several different obstacles will be put in their way, including flour-filled balloons and foam jets.
All of the money raised during the day will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
Covent Garden Market is located in the heart of London's West End and encompasses nearly 50 shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes.
