The Museum of Modern Art could prove a popular attraction among movie fans taking city breaks in New York over the coming months as it hosts an exhibition celebrating the work of Tim Burton.
Launched on 22 November, the display will remain open until 26 April next year.
Fans of Burton's films will be able to see a selection of items and memorabilia from Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman, Ed Wood and others.
As well as celebrating his cinematic work, the exhibition explores the director's artistic development since childhood.
It features over 700 objects that have rarely or never been displayed in public before, including drawings, paintings, photographs, concept art, puppets, costumes, moving image pieces and more.
Art enthusiasts planning a trip to New York over the coming months can also see some paintings from Claude Monet's famous Water Lilies series, which will be on display at the MoMA until 12 April.
