Perth to host giant Australia Day celebration

Perth will provide the venue for a giant party next month when Australia marks its national day.
According to Tourism Western Australia, the celebrations of Australia Day in Perth will be bigger than anywhere else in the country.
Up to 400,000 people could gather along the city's riverbanks and vantage points to see the Skyshow, a giant fireworks display set to music.
Kings Park and the foreshore to the south of the city are among the most popular areas for people to gather to see the show.
There will also be plenty of musical entertainment on offer in Perth on Australia Day, with a number of local artists set to perform soul, hip-hop, funk and other types of music in the Supreme Court Gardens.
People planning a trip to Western Australia next year might also have the opportunity to visit the Margaret River region between 1 March and 30 June as it hosts the CowParade event.
Artists will design a selection of life-sized fibreglass cows that will be exhibited at wineries, beaches, seaside towns and other locations in Margaret River.
