Three-week sailing festival to be held in Auckland

People with a passion for sailing will have the opportunity to attend a major event during holidays in New Zealand next year.
The Auckland Festival of Sail will take place in March and will consist of three high-profile meetings - the BMW World Sailing Final, the Omega Auckland Match Racing Regatta and the Louis Vuitton Trophy Auckland.
Arguably the main attraction will be the Louis Vuitton Trophy, which is due to run from 7 to 21 March.
The regatta will be the second meeting in a series that began in Nice, France last month.
Auckland's Festival of Sail will coincide with the city's International Boat Show, which will take place at Viaduct Harbour between 10 and 14 March.
Mayor John Banks said the festival offers 'the perfect opportunity to showcase Auckland and its spectacular waterfront'.
He added: 'We look [forward] to welcoming the world's best sailors to our shores next year.'
Several carriers operate flights to Auckland, including Emirates, Cathay Pacific and Air New Zealand.
