New Year's cruises on the Thames

Those spending their holidays in London will be able to bring in the New Year in style with a range of activities from City Cruises.
The company is offering visitors the chance to enjoy a grand view of the fireworks from a boat on the Thames, as well as having the world-famous Big Ben striking midnight in the background.
Guests will be treated to a drinks reception and a New Year's Eve gala and dinner dance cruise as they travel between Greenwich (the site of the famous London dome) and Westminster pier.
A four-course meal with wine will also be served, as well as a champagne toast at the chimes of midnight.
For something a little lower key, those staying in hotels in London can spend their New Year's Eve aboard the restaurant ship Hispaniola, where there will be dancing and a festive dinner.
The boat is permanently moored in Westminster, opposite the London Eye, and so will offer spectacular views of the New Year's fireworks display.
