8 Jan 2010

More than 260 dining establishments will take part in the winter 2010 outing of NYC Restaurant Week, representing the largest dining programme since the event began in 1992.

NYC & Company, New York City's official marketing organisation, revealed that a number of new restaurants are set to take part this year, including The Breslin Bar and Dining Room, Ze Cafe and The Libertine.

Another addition to the event is the NYC Restaurant Week Truck, which will drive through Manhattan between 25 and 29 January and 1 and 5 February, serving gourmet soup provided by various eateries.

Visitors will be able to enjoy three-course lunches for $24.07 (£15) and dinners for a fixed price of $35 during the event, which will run from 25 January to 7 February.

George Fertitta, chief executive of NYC & Company, said: 'In its 19th year, NYC Restaurant Week continues to evolve while remaining accessible and affordable for New York City residents and visitors.

'The programme's expansion is a testament to the value and success of the dining event, which continues to be well received season after season.'
