Dublin prepares for St Patrick's Festival

People who love a good party will be booking flights to Dublin soon to visit the city's famous St Patrick's Festival.
The event will get underway on 12 March and will run for six days, leading up to St Patrick's Day itself on 17 March.
All sorts of activities and entertainment are arranged during the festival, including street theatre, live music performances, dance shows, stand-up comedy and family fun.
The highlight is the St Patrick's Day parade, which sees thousands of participants walking a 2.5km route through the city centre.
Last year, the parade was watched by around 675,000 people in the Irish capital, with millions more tuning in to see it on television.
The St Patrick's Festival will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, having been established by the government in November 1995 and held for the first time the following year.
People interested in attending can catch flights to Dublin with Air France, bmi, Aer Lingus and other carriers.
