Holidaymakers will soon be able to visit a new attraction in one of the United States' most popular tourist destinations.
Merlin Entertainments announced that it would be opening the Legoland Florida park at Cypress Gardens in Polk County.
The new property will be the company's 13th attraction in the US and its fifth Legoland park worldwide, with the others located in California, the UK, Denmark and Germany.
Nick Varney, chief executive officer of Merlin Entertainments, said the Florida development will be 'one of the most exciting and important projects' that the company has ever pursued.
He added: 'The development of a Legoland park in Florida is a perfect opportunity for us here in the heart of what is the biggest family tourist centre in the world - and I believe it will bring a unique new experience to Florida.'
The attraction is set to open at the end of 2011 and will feature rides, shows, Lego building challenges and more.
Families have several other attractions to choose from in Florida, such as Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld.
