Free iPhone app launched for winter sports fans

People planning skiing and snowboarding holidays this year will be able to make use of an iPhone app that has been launched by the Ski Club of Great Britain.
Developed in association with Land Rover, the new snow report application is available for free download from the iTunes store.
Users will be able to check live data from 250 resorts around the world covering snow depths and conditions both on and off piste.
The app will also provide webcam views and the latest skiing and snowboarding news.
Abi Lee, new media manager at the Ski Club of Great Britain, said: 'We're thrilled with the snow report app that we have developed with the help of our snow report partner, Land Rover.
'We've had excellent feedback about how quick and easy it is to use which is exactly what we wanted. The snow information provided on the app is the most accurate and up to date around and will be ideal for skiers and boarders who want to check conditions when they are on the move and even when they are in resort.'
The organisation also offers daily snow reports, mountain weather forecasts, a weekly video podcast and more on its website.
