Report highlights best airports for public transport

Campaign group Railfuture has released a report identifying the best airports in the UK for public transport links and highlighting potential areas for improvement.
London Gatwick offers some of the best transport connections for travellers, with 'excellent all-round provision', according to the report.
Southampton was also praised for its accessibility, with Railfuture pointing out that it received a better rating than Heathrow, the UK's busiest airport.
Birmingham International, London Stansted and Manchester were named along with Gatwick and Southampton as the leading examples of best practice in terms of rail connections.
However, the research also highlighted wide variations in the quality of public transport links and urged the government to place more emphasis on the issue.
Railfuture spokesman Trevor Garrod said: 'In some cases, simple actions such as reorganising bus routes so that buses call at the airport and the railway station could bring huge improvements.
'No one seems to have taken responsibility for this on a national level. There's a piecemeal approach, and some joined-up thinking is really needed.'
