New attractions on the way in Las Vegas

New attractions on the way in Las Vegas
5 Feb 2010

There will be a number of new attractions opening up to Las Vegas visitors over the coming months.

One of the most high-profile additions to the city's tourism scene will be Skyjump Las Vegas, the latest thrill ride at the Stratosphere hotel and casino.

Set to open in April, Skyjump is described as a 'controlled freefall' that sees the rider plummeting 855 feet through the air at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour.

It joins three other thrill rides already operating at the top of the Stratosphere tower - Big Shot, X-Scream and Insanity.

Caesars Palace will also be improving its visitor offering this year with the unveiling of its new Garden of the Gods area in March, which will feature five multi-layered pools, an 18-foot waterfall and more.

Other facilities set to open their doors in Las Vegas in the near future include the Quesadilla Mexican restaurant at Imperial Palace and the Casablanca Event Centre at the Eastside cannery casino and hotel.
