Florida, Spain 'offering good deals for families'

People planning to take a cheap family holiday this year could find what they are looking for in Florida or Spain, according to a travel expert.
Lucy Huxley, editor of Travel Weekly magazine, said these destinations are currently offering relatively low prices as operators look to attract early bookings.
She also pointed out the importance that the exchange rate could play in customers' destination choices this year.
'Non-eurozone destinations such as Turkey and Egypt continue to be in demand as consumers look to make their money go further, but there are also some great deals to family favourites such as Florida and Spain as hoteliers and travel companies encourage customers to book early,' Ms Huxley said.
First Rate Exchange Services recently released a report which indicated that 58% of British adults are planning to take at least one overseas holiday this year.
Ms Huxley welcomed the positive signs for the travel industry in the coming year and said that many consumers are 'keen to make sure their main break is ring-fenced in 2010'.
