Artefacts from Tutankhamun's funeral to be displayed in New York

People with an interest in ancient Egyptian history should make sure they visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art during breaks in New York City this year.
From 16 March to 6 September, the institute will present a display of artefacts that are thought to have been part of Tutankhamun's funeral.
The items date back to around 1327 BC and were discovered by American businessman and excavator Theodore Davis in 1907 AD.
Davis donated the finds to the Metropolitan Museum two years later.
Visitors will be able to see a selection of significant pieces from the archaeological discovery, including bags of sawdust used in the embalming process, linen sheets, bandages and pottery vessels from the funeral meal.
The exhibition will also include a sculpted bust of Tutankhamun and paintings representing funerary rituals.
Modern art fans visiting New York City this year will be able to see an exhibition celebrating Pablo Picasso at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 27 April to 1 August.
