Music fans will be offered the perfect excuse to book a holiday in Spain this summer, with the Benicassim festival set to return in July.

The event will take place from 15 to 18 July in Benicassim, a resort town located between Valencia and Barcelona on the country's east coast.

Indie and rock music fans will find plenty of names to interest them on this year's line-up, including Vampire Weekend, Kasabian, Ian Brown and the Courteeners.

There will also be several dance and hip hop acts taking to the stage in Benicassim this year, with the Prodigy, Leftfield, Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris among the biggest names.

Benicassim is one of Spain's biggest music festivals, having played host to the likes of Radiohead, Leonard Cohen, the Stone Roses, Morrissey and the Chemical Brothers during its 16-year history.

People planning to visit this year's event can take flights to Valencia or Barcelona with carriers including easyJet, Iberia and British Airways and travel along Spain's scenic coast to reach the venue.
