The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) in Dubai has promoted a number of events that will be taking place in the destination over the coming year, including the Summer Surprises festival.
Due to run from 17 June to 7 August, the celebration is designed to promote fun and education alike.
All sorts of events are arranged during the period, including international theatre productions, street performances, fashion shows, nightly fireworks displays and prize draws.
Another highlight of the year for tourists is the Dubai International Film Festival, which will take place from 12 to 19 December.

Emirates for the event.
Ian Scott, UK and Ireland director of the DTCM, said: 'Dubai offers a well-rounded holiday experience to visitors.
'Not only does it boast year-round sunshine and unrivalled facilities in its hotels, restaurants and bars, but the emirate has also developed an extensive annual calendar of entertainment and activities that reflect its cosmopolitan approach.'
Emirates recently announced that it will be launching a second Airbus A380 on its route from London Heathrow to Dubai on 1 July.
