The tourist board representing the Tirol region in Austria has offered a number of reasons for late-season skiers to consider a trip to the destination this year.
One of the main advantages of taking a winter sports holiday at the beginning of spring is the fact that resorts are much quieter than during the peak season, the organisation said.
Skiers and snowboarders will therefore be able to spend less time queuing at lift stations and more on the slopes.
The Tirol Tourist Board also highlighted the benefit of warmer weather, pointing out that on some days, visitors can 'ski in a T-shirt, get a tan and enjoy a beer on the sun terrace'.
Several events will be taking place in the Austrian ski region over the coming months, including the St Anton Spring Festival, which will feature live music, sporting contests and more between 9 and 11 April.
This year's Maxx Mountain Glacier Festival will be held in Solden from 30 April to 2 May, offering entertainment including skidoo rides and parties for late-season visitors.
