15 Apr 2010
Music fans will be arranging breaks in Brussels soon to be part of a major music event in the city.
The 2010 Brussels Jazz Marathon will run from 28 to 30 May.
Set to mark its 15th outing this year, the festival will attract over 450 musicians to Belgium's capital city to celebrate jazz and its various sub-genres.
Performances will be staged at several bars, clubs, hotels and other indoor venues in Brussels, as well as main squares such as Grand Place, Place du Sablon and Place Fernand Cocq.
All of the shows being arranged for the Brussels Jazz Marathon will be completely free.
Last year's programme featured a host of solo artists and groups, including Alexandre Cavaliere and Jazzy Strings, Jean-Paul Estievenart, Phil Robinsson and the Bert Joris Quartet.
Music fans planning to attend some of this year's concerts can catch flights to Brussels with British Airways, Swiss, Brussels Airlines and other carriers.
