Visit New York for the Museum Mile Festival

Travellers visiting New York this year will have the perfect opportunity to absorb some culture on 8 June, the date of the 2010 Museum Mile Festival.
This event sees a number of leading attractions located on Fifth Avenue from 82nd to 105th streets open for free between the hours of 18:00 and 21:00 local time.
Institutes that have confirmed their participation in the festival this year include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum, the Neue Galerie and the Museum of the City of New York.
The Museum Mile Festival has been running for the past 31 years and attracts over 50,000 visitors.
In addition to the free openings, visitors will be able to enjoy live music, street performances and outdoor art exhibitions.
