Krakow to host second Selector Festival
10 May 2010

Travellers visiting Krakow in Poland this summer will have the opportunity to enjoy some live musical entertainment at a major festival taking place in the city.

Returning this year after its successful debut in 2009, the Selector Festival will be held in fields just outside the centre of Krakow on 4 and 5 June.

It is being organised by Alter Art, the group behind the Open'er Festival in Gdynia.

Artists who will be entertaining the crowds this year include British acts Faithless, Calvin Harris and Friendly Fires.

There will also be some multimedia shows and other entertainment on offer.

Bogdan Becla, acting director of the Polish National Tourist Office, said: 'Although Krakow has a rich and exciting history, it is very much a city that is looking to the future and there's plenty on offer for the younger generation.

'The Selector Festival will be a great way to start the summer in a wonderful part of the world.'

Two giant tents will be set up in Krakow to host the event, providing the capacity to hold 15,000 people.
