Copenhagen 'offers the perfect break'
12 May 2010

Travellers planning a trip to Copenhagen this year can look forward to 'the perfect break', according to the Daily Telegraph.

Writer Nick Trend identified a number of recent factors that could boost the popularity of Denmark's capital city, including an exhibition at the National Gallery in London featuring work by painter Christen Kobke.

The show serves as a reminder that 'Copenhagen's museums and galleries have some of the best art collections in Europe', according to Mr Trend.

Institutes worth visiting include the National Gallery of Denmark, which boasts a collection featuring works by Titian, Rubens and Matisse, and the Hirschsprungske Collection.

The destination could also experience more interest in its culinary scene this year after Noma, one of several high-end dining establishments in the city, took top spot in the San Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants list.

Mr Trend also recommended the Traktorstedet Cafe in the gardens of Rosenborg Castle as an ideal spot for lunch.

SAS, British Airways and easyJet all operate regular flights to Copenhagen from the UK.
