Aer Arann launches Manchester to Kerry flights

Travellers planning to visit Ireland this summer now have the option of taking flights to Kerry from Manchester with Aer Arann.
The airline announced in March that it would be reinstating the route and has reported strong interest from customers over recent months.
Paul Schutz, Aer Arann's chief executive officer, said Kerry provides an ideal gateway for people who want to explore south-west Ireland and see sights such as the lakes near Killarney and the Dingle peninsula.
Manchester airport commercial director Andrew Harrison said: 'It's great for us to see another airline adding a new destination from Manchester this summer.
'Despite what we've seen with the volcano, there is still a large section of the summer left for passengers to enjoy and we hope to see many of them taking advantage of the route to Ireland.'
Aer Arann also operates flights to Galway and Waterford from Manchester and recently confirmed a franchise agreement with Aer Lingus that includes a new service to Shannon from north-west England.
