Travel magazine lists America's best boardwalks

Travellers planning to embark on some seafront strolls during a holiday in the US this year might be interested in a list of the country's best beach boardwalks published by Travel and Leisure magazine.
One location that comes highly recommended is Main Beach in Santa Cruz, California, which is home to a number of old-fashioned attractions that date back as far as 1911.
People planning a trip to the east coast of America might be interested in visiting Atlantic City Beach in New Jersey to see its casinos, shops and arcades, while Hollywood Beach in Florida boasts 2.5 miles of sun-soaked pathways to explore.
One of the most famous locations in the Travel and Leisure list is Coney Island in New York, which will soon feature a number of new rollercoasters and fairground attractions.
George Fertitta, chief executive of tourism promotion agency NYC & Company, said: 'Coney Island and the new Luna Park are integral to the fabric of New York City - we are grateful that Travel and Leisure has named this popular summer attraction one of America's best beach boardwalks.'
Other seafront hotspots recommended by the publication include Kemah in Texas and Long Beach in Washington.
