New York City marketing campaign launched

NYC & Company has today (24 June) launched a major marketing campaign to promote New York City to travellers around the world.
The city's official tourism organisation announced that the initiative had been introduced to showcase the 'unsurpassed energy, excitement and diversity' of the Big Apple.
Due to run throughout the year, the campaign will reach destinations all over the world and include promotional packages from corporate partners such as American Express and American Airlines.
NYC & Company chief executive George Fertitta said: 'Today's launch is exciting news for New York City tourism, one of the city's strongest industries.
'Our goal is to let the world know just how vibrant New York City is and remains. This innovative campaign model relies on external resources and will ensure our message reaches a global audience and keeps New York City the country's top destination.'
The campaign will feature a range of colourful imagery and designs to highlight the city's five boroughs: Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, Brooklyn and Staten Island.
