People planning a trip to Hong Kong have been urged to make sure they see Victoria Peak during their time in the city.
The site, often referred to simply as the Peak, is the highest mountain on Hong Kong Island at an altitude of 552 metres.
It is one of the destination's most popular attractions and top of the list of 'must-sees', according to Anthony Lau, executive director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB).
'Looking down from the Peak, visitors can feast their eyes on breathtaking views of the surrounding city skyline, the world-famous Victoria Harbour, towering skyscrapers and peaceful green hillsides,' he said.
Mr Lau also highlighted Hong Kong's appeal as a retail hotspot, describing it as 'a shopper's paradise'.
'From glitzy malls to funky street markets and from trendy boutiques to traditional Chinese product stores and themed shopping districts, visitors can basically find everything from the latest designer fashion to electronic gadgets and best-value antiques and collectibles,' he commented.
The HKTB released a report this week showing that the city welcomed more than 16.8m visitors in the first half of the year, breaking its previous record for a six-month period.
