There will be shortage of experiences on offer to travellers visiting Dublin next month when the city hosts Culture Night.
Scheduled for 24 September, the event will see a range of exhibitions, promotions, talks, late night openings and shows at a record 132 venues across the Irish capital.
Well-known tourist attractions set to take part in the initiative include the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Light House Cinema, National Museum of Ireland and St Mary's Abbey.
Christ Church cathedral, the crypt and the Foxy Friars gift shop will open late on Culture Night and host two free tours, while City Hall will present a multimedia exhibition exploring the history of Dublin.
Actor Neil O'Shea will pay a visit to the Writers Museum to perform extracts from works by some of Ireland's most famous writers, such as George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde and Jonathan Swift.
Dublin is one of several Irish destinations that will be taking part in Culture Night, with cities such as Cork, Londonderry and Galway also set to host special events and openings.
