Experience the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival
10 Sep 2010
Those planning a holiday in Cork in October should take advantage of the 32nd Guinness Cork Jazz Festival taking place between October 22nd and 26th.
The four-day festival sees a variety of performers offering jazz, soul and blues vibes throughout the day at venues across the city of Cork, including the Savoy Theatre and the Cork School of Music.
With sets by The Brand New Heavies, Steve Winwood, Yolanda Brown and Grammy award winner Herbie Hancock, the festival is one visitors to the Irish city would not want to miss out on.
Alongside musicians and acts bringing the best in jazz, soul and blues - around 90 per cent of which is free of charge - there is also the chance to enjoy masterclasses, drum based exercise classes, samba dance lessons and jazz improvisation sessions.
The festival is supported and funded by Guinness as well as Ireland's National Tourism Department, Fralite Ireland.
Flights to Cork from the UK are provided by Aer Lingus, among other carriers.
