Jamie Oliver to launch first international restaurant in Dubai

Brits heading to Dubai could soon give themselves a culinary treat by dining at a celebrity restaurant set to open later this year.
Jamie Oliver - of Jamie's School Dinners and Naked Chef fame - is to launch his first eatery in the emirate this November.
Located at the Festival Centre Canal Walk in Dubai Festival City, the 290-capacity Jamie's Italian is to be the chef's first Italian adventure overseas.
Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate is the developer behind Dubai Festival City and director of commercial and retail leasing Philip Evans explained that the firm is 'pleased to announce another first for Dubai and the United Arab Emirates'.
He added that the new restaurant 'further enriches our culinary offerings'.
Dubai already has a number of celebrity restaurants, including those belonging to Gordon Ramsay, Gary Rhodes and Marco Pierre White.
Meanwhile, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing has released figures showing that the Emirate will welcome 4.2m hotel guests in 2010.
