Sample some new culinary offerings in Rome

Travellers planning to sample some Italian cuisine during a trip to Rome in the near future will be able to visit some of the city's newest restaurants.
The Italian State Tourist Board highlighted a number of dining establishments that have recently opened in the capital, such as Convoglia near the Termini station.
Visitors can try oven-baked pizzas, grilled meats and fish, as well as cuisine from central and southern Italy in the main restaurant and coffees, sandwiches and cakes in the cafeteria.
Renowned Sicilian chef Filippo La Mantia has opened a new restaurant and terrace at the Hotel Majestic in Rome, where guests can enjoy their meals while admiring views over Via Veneto.
Many of the dishes on offer are distinguished by the use of herbs and citrus fruits rather than traditional ingredients such as garlic and onion.
Italy's national tourism agency also highlighted the new Gaetano Costa restaurant on Rome's Via Sicilia, which was opened by a young chef from Naples.
