Film festival to showcase adventure tourism in Canada

Travellers visiting Canada in October will be able to find out more about the adventure tourism opportunities on offer in the country at a film festival.
Now in its fifth year, the Adventure Film Festival will feature screenings at more than 30 cinemas nationwide between 4 October and the end of the month.
It will consist of three themed nights inspired by action, high-altitude and 'elemental' adventure.
Visitors will be able to hear amazing tales of survival and find out more about free-ski mountaineers and the first man to circumnavigate Madagascar by kayak.
The Adventure Film Festival is sponsored by Canada's West, a partnership between Tourism British Columbia and Travel Alberta.
Louise Bourchier of Tourism British Columbia said: 'Marking the second year of the partnership, the event offers an exceptional opportunity to showcase the unique adventure product the region has to offer year round, from world-class mountain biking and white-water rafting in summer to the perfect ski safari or the ultimate in winter heli-skiing or boarding.'
Travellers can get to Canada by catching flights to cities such as Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto.
