More flights to the Caribbean on offer from Gatwick
5 Oct 2010

Holidaymakers looking for flights to the Caribbean will see an increase in services from London's Gatwick Airport.

Due to high demand, national carrier British Airways is to increase the number of flights running between the two destinations from March 2011.

Flights to the sun-soaked island of St Lucia will run daily, while services to Barbados will increase to 12 per week and those to Antigua will rise to six each week.

With some 15 Caribbean destinations currently on offer from British Airways, the carrier is also said to be considering upping the number of services it runs to the US city of Tampa, Florida.

Meanwhile, holidaymakers and travellers will be able to fly direct from Gatwick to the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, as well as Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 2011 onwards.

Elsewhere, with the popular Mexican holiday destination of Cancun already considered "a steady customer favourite" among British Airways passengers, the airline has decided to continue offering twice-weekly flights to the resort throughout the winter months.
