Entire hotel to be auctioned for New Year

One lucky guest is being offered the chance to bid for an entire hotel to spend the night in at New Year.
San Diego's glamorous yet reasonably priced Porto Vista Hotel is currently being auctioned on eBay for a 24-hour period over New Year.
The highest bidder will be given sole control of the hotel in Little Italy from noon on 31st December and can invite up to 300 guests to stay in the 189 room hotel.
A specially prepared meal for the host and 50 VIP guests will be provided as well as a DJ, bar and champagne brunch for the morning after.
The owner for the day will also have their name inscribed on the side of the hotel for the duration of their stay, receive customised business cards for the event and all staff will have the host's name on their uniforms.
"Every year, hotels around San Diego attempt to out-do one another with their New Year's Eve party plans," Porto Vista general manager Greg Keebler told USA Today.
"We are sure that whoever is the winning bidder of Porto Vista's hotel-wide party will have the ultimate New Year's bash… The hotel will be transformed into a personal wonderland," he said.
