Tallinn prepares for double New Year's Eve celebration

Travellers visiting Tallinn at the end of this year and the beginning of the next will have the opportunity to join in with some particularly special celebrations.
Estonia's capital city will be marking the fact that it will assume the title of European Capital of Culture in January 2011 and will also be celebrating the country's entry into the eurozone.
Tallinn's Theatre Square will be at the heart of the festivities on 31 December this year, with live music concerts and a fireworks display at midnight.
The event will be attended by high-profile figures including prime minister Andrus Ansip.
Estonia Tourist Board director Tarmo Mutso said: 'Tallinn is going to be buzzing every day throughout 2011 as visitors, performers and venues make the most of Tallinn's role as Capital of Culture.
'This is a fantastic time to be here. The city's hotels and event organisers have responded admirably to the challenges presented by being the cultural capital with high-quality hotel packages and some world class events.'
More than 7,000 cultural events are set to take place in the city next year.
