Stansted airport launches free iPhone app

Travellers catching flights from London Stansted could now find it easier to plan their trip with the help of a free iPhone app.

The application has a number of features designed to help users, including a car park booking tool and an option to download discount vouchers for shops and restaurants at the airport.

It also lists live flight departure and arrival information, destinations served from Stansted, security requirements and public transport details.

Steve Mills, the airport's iPhone app development manager, said the new offering will improve the passenger experience for travellers.

'It conveniently brings together live flight updates, lots of useful information about the terminal and a reliable guide to the range of options for getting to and from the airport,' he added.

'So whether you're a frequent flyer or a first time visitor, the London Stansted app is the essential tool for all passengers passing through the airport.'

Travellers can visit Apple's app store to download the application directly to their iPhone.
